Collective Clarity

PSYCHOTHERAPY

Hey there, it's Mariel (pronounced Meh-ree-elle). You’re here because life has been rough lately. You’ve tried dealing with anxiety, depression, relationships, or career issues by yourself. But it’s overwhelming and you feel stuck. Seeking therapy may be embarrassing and not culturally accepted but what else can you do?

I know you feel ashamed or defeated but you're doing the right thing! Seeking therapy is not a sign of weakness. Admitting you need help is courageous and humbling. Trust me, I've been there and it can be too much.

When I was younger, it was difficult to find an Asian or Filipino-American therapist. I've had to explain different aspects of my culture repeatedly before we could dive deep into therapeutic work. It was annoying and exhausting! Now, as a psychotherapist, I strive to provide culturally-competent therapy because feeling 'seen' impacts the effectiveness of treatment.

Feeling seen impacts the effectiveness of treatment

Collective Clarity is dedicated to providing high-quality, culturally-attuned care.

  • We go beyond applying theoretical frameworks and research-based interventions.

  • We carefully manage our session availability to enhance the depth of our therapeutic work.

  • We help clients examine the historical, social, political, and economic aspects of their cultural and ethnic identity.

  • We teach clients how to deconstruct colonial mentality and generational trauma to make lasting changes.
